Finish 7 By Summer – Project Pan INTRO

Welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going to be tackling another Project Pan challenge! If you’re not familiar with Project Pan’s, the whole idea behind them is to finish a certain amount of products during a designated amount of time. I did a Finish 5 By Winter Project Pan on my blog before, and I decided that it would be fun to start a new challenge (as if my Products to Use Up In 2017 challenge isn’t enough, of course I want to add another makeup use up project)! Let’s get into the products I want to use up in the next 3 months!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

This is one of my two favorite foundations of all time, and I have just a tiny bit of this left. I know that if I don’t include this in the challenge, I’ll end up letting the little bit sit for months on end (am I the only one that does this?! I like a product so much that I don’t want to finish it because I don’t want to be without it). So I’m going to go ahead and toss this into the challenge, but I’m sure it’ll be gone by the next update (it’s already to the point where I have to unscrew the pump and dump it out).

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder

This is one of my two favorite powders of all time, and again I’m getting close to being done with this powder. This is the one that I typically use with the Covergirl foundation, so it makes sense to throw this into the project as well. I can foresee myself finishing the foundation and having a bunch of this powder left over, so I’m going to put it in the project to make myself continue using it after the foundation is done.

Garnier Clearly Brighter Moisturizer Sample

I got this sample moisturizer when I purchased the Miceller Water from Garnier, and this little tube came jam packed to the top with product! This has SPF in it, so I thought it would be perfect for spring and early summer.

Lasting Smiles Peppermint Lip Balm

This is a lip balm that I’m working on in my Products to Use Up in 2017 challenge, so I thought I’d toss it in here because it’s almost done with it, and I need that final push to finish it up.

Skyn Iceland Eye Cream

I got this eye cream in my November BoxyCharm, and I don’t really feel like it does much for my eyes. While it’s been nice to have the little extra moisturization during the winter months, this isn’t something that I want to use when the seasons start to change. I’m going to try to bust the rest of this out before it starts getting too warm outside, but this is seriously the product that never ends!

Colourpop Blush “Between the Sheets”

If you saw my recent ColourPop Haul, you’ll know how excited I was to try out this blush. I’ve been loving the color and the formula, but I know ColourPop products dry out pretty quickly since they’re creams, so I want to get as much use out of this as possible in the next few months. While I have no intentions of actually using this up, I would love to hit some pan on this blush during this project.

Makeup Forever “N9” Lipstick Sample

And finally, we have the return of the Makeup Forever lipstick sample in the shade N9. This is another product that I have in my Products to Use Up in 2017 challenge, but yet again, this is starting to get down pretty small, so I need a good push to finish it up and get it out of my collection.

I haven’t decided exactly when I want to end this project (the first official day of summer is June 20th, but June 1st is the first day of summer in my mind, so I guess I’ll just see where I’m at around June 1st and if I need more time I’ll go ahead and extend it the extra 20 days). I hope you’ll follow along with my update posts of this project, and I hope that you enjoy these Project Pan’s. These types of posts are so fun for me, and they keep me so motivated to keep using up products. Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

Finish 5 by Winter Finale & Wrap-Up

Today I’m going to be sharing my finale of my Finish 5 by Winter Project Pan! I wish I had another month with these products, because I would definitely be able to finish more of them by then, but I’m happy with the progress I’ve been able to make in the last month. If you missed the past posts for this project, catch up on the IntroUpdate #1, and Update #2 before seeing the finale!!

Makeup Forever N9 Lipstick

As you can see, I didn’t end up finishing this lipstick. I made quite the little dent in it, but I wish I would’ve been a little more dedicated to this product throughout the project. I’m definitely including this in my Products to Use Up in 2017 challenge though, so stay tuned for that.

Anastasia DipBrow Pomade

Im so pleased with how much of this I’ve used, and I don’t think the picture really does this one justice. There’s so little product left, I’d probably barely be able to make it another month with this guy. I’m definitely happy with tossing the rest of this since I’ll have a shiny new jar waiting for me on Christmas morning.

Nivea Lip Butter

I got so close to finishing this product up, but as I’ve said, I have another newer one of these sitting at my bedside table right now, so I’m definitely going to just toss this one (it’s hella old anyway).

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Stick

This is another one that I got so close to finishing, and I think with another couple weeks I definitely could have this gone.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

And last but not least, I finished up my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer!! I’m happy to have this gone so that I can go out and buy a new one! Tarte Shape Tape here I come (if I can ever find it in stock)!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this Project Pan! I’m so excited to start up my “Products to Use Up in 2017” soon! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Finish 5 By Winter Project Pan – Update #2

It’s just past the 21st of November which means there’s only one month left until the end of my Project Pan! I’m now 2/3 of the way done with this project, and I’ve got some good progress (and some not so good progress) to share with you today. If you missed my intro explaining what project pan is and explaining why I chose the products I did, you can check out my Finish 5 by Winter Project Pan intro post . If you missed my first update, you can go check that out as well! Without further ado, let’s jump into the products!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

I’ve had some awesome progress with this concealer, and I’m so close to finishing this up! This will for sure be done by December 21st, and I’m so excited to be able to move it out of my collection!

Milk Lip + Cheek Stick

I went ahead and depotted my Milk cream blush into an old concealer jar, so you’re not going to be able to see any progress with this unfortunately. I wish I would’ve thought to do this from the beginning of this project, but it was starting to get hard to get my brush into the product with it in the tube.

Nivea Lip Butter

I’ve been reaching for this lip balm every single day, and I feel like I’ve made so much progress with it, even though it doesn’t really look like it. My lips have been super dry with the colder weather, so I’m hoping to use up a lot more of this in the last month of this project.

Anastasia DipBrow Pomade

I’ve made some awesome progress with my DipBrow, and I’m super excited about the amount I’ve been able to use up in the last month. I would be totally fine ending this project with how much I have left in this pot as of right now, so any amount I use in the last month will be a bonus for me.

Makeup Forever Artist Natural Lipstick

I’m so embarrassed to say that I haven’t used this lipstick at all since the last update. This is definitely the fail product from this project, and I’m pretty much 100% sure I won’t finish this up at this point. I’m going to try to work on it as much as I can remember to pull it out, but honestly at this time of the year my lips are dry and wanting a lip balm over a lipstick, so we’ll see if I get any use out of this.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my second Project Pan update!! I’ve been having so much fun using up all of these products, and I’m really hoping that you’ve been enjoying seeing my progress with all of them as well! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Finish 5 by Winter Project Pan – Update #1

I’m here with my first update for my Project Pan! If you missed my intro post, you can click right here to see what Project Pan is and which products I chose to use up. I started this project around October 2nd, so I don’t quite have a full month’s worth of progress, but the project ends exactly 2 months from today, so I thought I’d update you guys on how I’m doing!

Starting out with the Makeup Forever lipstick, to be completely honest, I’ve only used this product about 3 times since I started this project. I definitely want to focus on this more throughout the month of November.

I’ve definitely been seeing quite a bit of progress with my Milk Makeup blush stick, and I’ve been using it every single day since I started this project. I’m pretty impressed with where I’m at because cream blushes are so hard to use up. I’m hoping that this will be gone by my next update.

This Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is probably the product with the most progress as of right now. I went ahead and marked it so you can see where I started and where I’m at as of update number one (I realize that the marking looks a little off, but it’s just plastic on top of the line, kinda hard to see in the picture though because of the awkward angle I took it at. My bad!) I’m really hoping to be almost finished with this by my next update.

I can see a lot more pan on my Anastasia DipBrow Pomade after about a month of using it. I’m getting a little bit worried that this might not be completely used up by the end of this project, but fingers crossed I can clean out the jar.

And last but not least, we have my Nivea Lip Butter. I’m actually doing a lot better with this than I thought I would. There’s still a ton of product to finish in 2 months, but I’ve made some awesome progress, and I’ve remembered to use this every day (sometimes multiple times a day) since I started this project!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my first update on my Finish 5 by Winter Project Pan! Wish me luck on continuing to use these products, and don’t forget to check back next month to see my progress!! Thanks for stopping by!

Project Pan – Finish 5 by Winter!

I’m going to be trying out a whole new type of post on my blog today, we’re going to be doing a Project Pan! For those of you who aren’t familiar, project pan is when you choose a certain amount of products to hit pan on or finish up by a set date. There’s infinite kinds of project pans to choose from, and there’s a whole YouTube community dedicated around the concept. Every couple of months, someone will come up with a new challenge and a whole bunch of people jump on board to start using up some of their makeup!

I’ve been working on a “Products I want to use up in 2016” Project Pan this whole year, but since I’ve finished everything I had wanted to finish early in the year, I’ve been adding more and more things to the list. I saw that a youtuber had started a “Finish 5 by Winter” project on October 1st, and I thought I’d jump onboard with it.

I’m going to be choosing 5 things I want to use up as much as possible between now and December 21st. I’ll be doing an update on October 21st as well as on November 21st and posting my finale on the first day of winter! Let’s get into the products I chose for this project!!

1. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

I used to really love this concealer, but most recent time I purchased it I realized that I don’t really like it all that much anymore. It has a super light coverage, and I feel like I need something a little more pigmented nowadays. This concealer seriously lasts forever so it’s going to be a huge challenge to finish it up in just a few months!

Here’s my starting point (I’ve used this for a few days since marking it, so if the line looks a little bit off, that’s why).

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade

This is my all time favorite brow product, and I usually get a new one every year for Christmas (coincidentally that’s when I was running out a couple years back and it’s just turned into a tradition since then) so I need to finish this one up as much as I can by Christmastime (which makes this a no-brainer for this project pan).

Here’s the starting point for this one. This stuff is super pigmented, and you can’t really use very much of it at a time. I’ve got my work cut out for me!

3. Milk Makeup Lip+Cheek Cream Blush Stick

I received this in my September Birchbox, and I’m actually liking the product (sorry that it got real nasty looking as soon as I started using a brush with it. What can ya do?). It doesn’t look like there’s much to it since it’s just a sample size, but I’ve been using it every day for weeks and there’s been hardly any progress to it. This is another one that’s going to be a challenge to finish!

4. Makeup Forever Artist Natural Lipstick Sample “N9”

This mini lipstick was a birthday gift from Sephora a couple of years back, and I’ve gotten hardly any use out of it! It’s currently my oldest lipstick in my collection, so I’d really like to get it used up (I’ve never finished a tube of lipstick, so this is going to be super hard for me).

Here’s the starting point with the lipstick twisted all the way up. I don’t really have a very accurate way to mark this for future posts, so we’ll just have to do a side by side picture reference to see how much I’ve used each time.

5. Nivea Lip Butter “Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss”

If there’s one product here that might not get finished during this project, this is the one. This is a super thick lip balm, and a little goes a long way. I’ve had this for a long time and it’s ready to be tossed or used up, so I’m going to try to get as far as I possibly can with it (I have a back up already, so I won’t be too heartbroken when this one is gone/tossed).

And again, this is my starting point. I’ve shoved as much of this to the side as possible to give an accurate measure of how much pan there is.
Wish me luck! I’m looking forward to giving you my first update in a few weeks, so stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by!
