Products I’ve Used Up – July Empties!

Welcome back to another month of empties! This month is super short, so let's go ahead and get right into the products!

Skin & Co Truffle Toner

I really enjoyed this toner! I don't know if I would purchase the full size, but it was nice enough.

Old Spice Bearglove Deodorant

Although this might seem like a weird empty to have, I really liked this Deodorant. This smells very fruity and not like a man at all, and it works so much better than any other deodorant I've ever tried! I love the Old Spice deodorants, and I have no intentions of switching back to women's anytime soon.

Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Deep Conditioner

This has taken me since Christmas to finish up (mostly because I didn't really love it). I found that this really weighed down my hair and made it oily really fast if I used this root to tip, so I started to use it just on the ends of my hair. But I found that it honestly didn't do much for me as far as adding extra moisture to my hair. I wouldn't repurchase.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

I've already repurchased this concealer, and I love this under the eyes so much! You guys already know that this is my holy grail, so I'm not going to get into it.

Fresh Sparkling Snow Body Cream

I finally finished up this huge bottle of lotion! This was one of my Products to Use Up in 2017 items, and I'm so happy that I finally got it done. I bought this around Christmas time in 2015, so it was definitely getting old and needed to be used up.

ELF Foil Packet

I used up the last of these samples, and there was really a lot of product in these. I wouldn't buy either of them because I don't really have a use for them.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I finished yet another can of my Dry Shampoo. I really like the Batiste brand, and I like pretty much every single scent they make.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my short and sweet empties this month! I've been working on a lot of full size products, so hopefully next month will be longer! Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you next time!

Products I’ve Used Up – March Empties!

I’m back with another empties post for you today! These are some of my favorite posts, and I love finishing up makeup and beauty products to show you guys at the end of the month. Let’s get into everything I finished so I can tell you if I would repurchase them or not!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

This was one of the products in my Finish 7 By Summer Project Pan Challenge, and I’m super happy that I have my collection down to only one foundation now! I’m going to keep using my Revlon Colorstay foundation until I finish up the powder that I use with it, and then I’ll let myself purchase this Covergirl foundation again.

Skyn Iceland Eye Cream

This was another product in my Finish 7 By Summer Project Pan Challenge, and I’m so relieved to have this product gone! I didn’t dislike this, but I felt like it really didn’t do anything for me. It was nice to have the little bit of extra moisturization on my eye area during the winter, but this isn’t something that I would purchase.

Bath & Body Works Foaming Hand Wash “Sunlight and Apple Trees”

I finished the last of my Bath & Body Works foaming hand wash, and I really loved the apple scent of this! I wouldn’t repurchase because I’m buying more natural products now, so I won’t be buying Bath & Body Works hand soap anymore. However, this is an awesome product if you are into Bath & Body Works fragrances.

Lasting Smiles Peppermint Creme Lip Balm

This lip balm was in both my Finish 7 By Summer Project Pan and my Products to Use Up in 2017  challenges. I was able to power through this and while I was happy to have it finished up, I have actually missed this product over the last couple of weeks.

Too Faced Hangover RX Primer Sample

I finally finished up the last couple of uses that were left in my Too Faced Hangover RX face primer sample. While this is still my favorite high end primer, I found that my skin is a little bit too oily to use this primer during the spring.

Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder

I finished another jar of my Maybelline powder, and you already know how much I love this stuff. I already have another one purchased and in use right now.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I finished up a full can of my Batiste dry shampoo, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one. I’ve tried almost every scent that they make, and I would say the blush is probably my favorite of all of them (maybe tied for first with cherry).

Eva NYC Dry Conditioning Spray

I absolutely love this product, and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere to buy the full size! This really smooths my hair on frizzy or messy hair days, and I love the scent of this. I’m going to keep digging around to find it because I really do want the full size and I’ve been missing it since I used it up.

Golden Pear and Brown Sugar Shower Gel

This was one of the products in my Products to Use Up in 2017  challenge, and I was able to finish this a lot quicker than I usually do (probably due to the fact that I’ve been using this as a shaving cream as well as a body wash). I really liked the scent of this, and I would definitely repurchase this scent next fall.

Bath & Body Works Winter Candle

I really didn’t love the scent of this candle once it started filling my room with scent. I found this too be too musky for my taste, and I won’t be buying this scent again.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing another month of empty products and hearing my thoughts and reviews on everything I’ve used up this month! Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you soon!

Products I’ve Used Up – January and February Empties!

I’ve got a combined empties post for you today of all the products (along with some mini reviews of the products) that I’ve used up in the months of January and February. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I typically do these empties posts every single month. However, I started my Products to Use Up in 2017  challenge at the beginning of January, and most of the products that I’m working on right now are items that are going to take a while to use up, so I didn’t finish too many things during January (Hence the combined empties post). Let’s get into the products!

Makeup

Marcelle Curling & Lengthening Mascara

I got this mascara sample in a Birchbox and I liked it enough, but it dried out super quickly! I only got to use this for about a month before it got to the point where it really didn’t do anything to my lashes. I can usually make sample mascaras last for about 3 months, but this one went super fast. I doubt that I would buy a full size of this.

theBalm Mad Lash Mascara

I really loved this mascara! This lengthened my lashes a lot, and this tube lasted forever (longer than most full sized tubes last me). I would totally buy this if I could catch it on sale from theBalm’s website or Hautelook.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water

I was super excited to get this sample as a 100 point perk from Sephora, and I actually kept this bottle half full for about 6 months (am I the only one that does this?! When I’m really excited about a product I’ll leave it sitting half empty to “save it just in case a special occasion comes up and I want it for that”. Why do I do this instead of just using it up and buying the full size!?) and I’m happy that I finally forced myself to use this up. I don’t really think that this does much of anything for keeping makeup on longer, so I probably won’t buy this.

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

I have a whole review post  of this product up on my blog, and this is one of the items featured in my Products to Use Up in 2017  challenge, but honestly I just can’t make this stuff work for me anymore! First of all, this is about 2-3 shades too dark for my skin (and it’s the lightest shade they make!). And even when I mix a little bit of this in with my everyday foundation, this makes me look so oily and crazy by the end of the day! I’m so bummed that I’m not able to power through the rest of this product, but I don’t want to force myself to use something I don’t like, so I’m going to toss the rest of what’s in here and cut my losses.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

I finally finished up my tube of Urban Decay Primer Potion! These eyeshadow primer tubes last forever, and this was one of the products on my Products To Use Up In 2017 list, so I’m excited to be done with this!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer

I finished another tube of my Maybelline Lumi Concealer, and this is one of the best highlighting concealers from the drugstore! I really love this product, but I wish it came with more concealer because I go through them every month and a half to two months. I already have another one that I’m currently using because I love it enough to buy a backup, but I think once my current five runs out, I might try out something different.

Benefit BrowVo Brow Conditioning Primer

I got this as a sample from Sephora and I didn’t really feel like this did anything for my brows. I’m super excited that I finished this because it was one of the items on my Products To Use Up In 2017 challenge!

Skincare

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Wash (Travel Size)

I decided to swap out my travel cleanser and used up this little Clean & Clear mini. I’m happy to say that I’m 100% all natural with my facial cleansers now that this guy is out of my life! I definitely won’t be repurchasing this, and I’m glad to have it gone.

Body

Honeycrisp Apple & Buttered Rum Orchard Body Spray

This is one of my all time favorite scents from Bath & Body Works. I loved the apple scent with the warm buttered rum undertone that this had. I would definitely buy this again, and I’m so happy that I fully used up a Bath & Body Works spray because I actually haven’t ever done that before.

Twenty One Black by Rue21 Perfume

This is my holy grail perfume, and I just recently finished up my 3rd bottle of it. I’ve already purchased another one that I’m currently using, and I love that this is such a long lasting perfume at such an affordable price!

Misc.

Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water

I finally finished up the last can I had of this spray water! I like to use this for wetting my eyeshadow brushes when I’m foiling a shadow and also for getting my hair damp when I braid it overnight. I wouldn’t buy this product again, but I didn’t hate using it up either.

I hope you enjoyed my quick little empties post! Thank you for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

Products I’ve Used Up – November Empties!

I’m back with another empties post today talking about all of the things I used up during the month of November and giving my mini review on whether or not I would repurchase the product. I’m cutting November’s empties off early (normally I would let everything accumulate throughout the whole month and post the empties on the very last day of the month) because my empties post would be crazy long if I kept accumulating.

Makeup

L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Waterproof Mascara

I absolutely loved this mascara, and it’s been my go-to summertime waterproof mascara for a long time. I wore this as a base mascara for my wedding day, and when I finished applying it I honestly didn’t even feel the need to layer any other mascaras on top of it. My lashes looked so long and perfect! I ended up not even needing to wear falsies.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I finally scraped the last little bit of this concealer out of its tube and purchased another one. I love the coverage this gives both under my eyes and on any blemishes. The doe-foot applicator makes it so quick and convenient in the morning to apply my concealer. I definitely recommend this one if you haven’t tried it.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

This is my holy grail foundation! I love the staying power on my oily skin, the coverage that it has, and the way that it wears throughout the day. This is the foundation that I always end up coming back to.

Softlips Vanilla Cube Lip Balm

I loved the scent of this lip balm, and the thin texture of it was absolutely amazing to put on before I started doing my makeup every morning. This lip balm actually took me forever to use up because once I wore down the dome shape, the entire pot at the bottom was filled with product too! This lasts forever, and I’ll totally repurchase as soon as I use up some more lip balms.

Haircare

Marc Anthony Argan Oil Conditioning Treatment

I was so sad to finish up this conditioning treatment that I got in my September ipsy. I really loved the smell of this, and this absolutely made my hair the softest it’s ever been. I’ve been looking all over for another bottle of the deep conditioning treatment, but so far all I can find are foil packets. But I’m definitely planning on purchasing this stuff as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Hairgurt Strawberry Banana Hair Masque

Another product I was super sad to finish was this Hairgurt hair masque that I got in my  September BoxyCharm. My hair responds really well to deep conditioning treatments, and this product was no exception.

Skincare

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser

This bottle of Morning Burst took me so long to use up! This used to be my holy grail face wash for years and years, but I’ve come to the conclusion recently that this stuff is actually just “okay”. I feel like it’s such a basic cleanser and doesn’t really do anything for your skin. I’ve switched over to a Simple cleanser, and I’m liking it a lot more than I ever liked this Clean & Clear one. (The Morning Burst cleanser is rated 1 star on Paula’s Choice due to the ingredients while the Simple cleanser is rated 5 stars, so it’s a lot better for my skin anyway).

Clarisea Charcoal Exfoliant

This was a loose charcoal powder that you can add to face or body wash to add some exfoliant. My hubby absolutely loved this stuff! He likes super harsh exfoliators and I like regular facial cleansers, so this was a perfect compromise for us because I’m able to buy the cleanser I want and he can just add this in.

Bonvivant Botanical Masks

I used two out of the three face masks that I received in my November ipsy bag. I thought these are about the same as any other sheet mask I’ve ever tried, nothing too special in my opinion.

Misc.

 Chesapeake Bay Candle “Pumpkin Spice”

I mentioned this candle in my October favorites, and I really loved the pumpkin scent this had. I wouldn’t say this is a candle that fills the room with scent, but I really liked that it wasn’t strong enough to give me a headache. I got this candle from Target on clearance for $6!

Bath & Body Works Honolulu Sun Hand Sanitizer

I finally finished up the last of my back stock of hand sanitizers. Now that I don’t have anymore in the old packaging, I definitely need to take a trip to Bath & Body Works to pick up some more sanitizer.

Avène Thermal Spring Water

I finished up this spray water, and I actually really enjoyed this product. It was super nice to keep in my makeup bag for wetting my eyeshadow brush when I wanted to foil an eyeshadow.

Bath & Body Works Suncrisp Apple Harvest Shower Gel

This was a scent from fall 2015 that I finally finished up this fall! I love apple scents, and Bath & Body Works makes the best shower gel in the world! I’ve already got a different scent in my shower now.

That’s all I’ve got for this month! I hope you enjoyed this monthly empties post! I’ll see you next time!

Products I Used Up – Massive October Empties!

It’s time for another monthly empties!!! I don’t quite know how I managed to use up so many things during the month of October, but I have a huge empties post today. These monthly empties posts keep me so motivated to use up products throughout the month, and I’m honestly shocked at how many things I’ve used since starting this series on my blog.

Enough chitchat, let’s get into my trash for the month. 😉

Makeup

My first empty this month is my Chapstick Total Hydration Vanilla lip balm. I noticed that this had a weird exfoliating texture, almost like sugar granules. I don’t know if it’s formulated that way, or if I just got a dud. Would I repurchase? I hated the exfoliating rough texture, so no I’m not going to buy this again.

Next is my Clinique Advanced Concealer in the shade “01 Matte Light”. This is seriously the most pigmented concealer ever (even more so than the Kay Von D concealer!). This stuff could cover the biggest, reddest, nastiest zit in the world with no problem. Will I repurchase this? Although I loved this stuff back in high school, I don’t think I’ll buy it again just because of the oxidization that it has. But if you need serious coverage, this is your guy.

If you follow me on Instagram (which if you don’t, what the heck are you doing?! It’s at DisneyWifeBlog, go follow right now!) you’ll have seen that I finished my Revlon Colorstay foundation a couple weeks ago. Will I repurchase? I’m definitely planning on picking this stuff up again, it’s one of my faves!

I mentioned this L’oreal Miss Manga mascara in my September favorites post, and I already went out and got a new tube of it because I used it so much during September and October. I’m loving this mascara so much right now!

I finally decided to toss my L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. I’ve had this tube for way longer than I should, and it’s finally starting to dry out on me. Will I repurchase? I’m definitely picking this up on my next makeup shopping trip, this is my holy grail drugstore mascara.

Skincare

I’m mentioning these two products together super quickly because I used these exact two skincare items up last month, and I featured them in September’s empties post. Birchbox sent me a leaked box during September, so I received a replacement box which means I’ve now used up two of these same samples. If you want to hear my thoughts and whether I’d purchase these, go read my September empties so that I’m not repeating myself here!

Next I have this Naked Advanced Aloe Cream, and I used this to moisturize my face (even though I think it’s meant for your body, oops!). Would I buy the full size? This actually smelled pretty rank, so I definitely wouldn’t buy it. Also, I’m getting really sick of moisturizer samples. I feel like they’re all I talk about! Lol 🙄

Lastly for skincare, I have a clay cleanser from Borghese. I actually really loved this stuff, and I stretched this little tube out for as long as I possibly could. Would I buy the full size? Yes I absolutely would! This cleanser smells amazing and left my skin feeling super clean and soft.

Haircare

My first haircare item is a foil packet I’ve been holding onto for an embarrassingly long amount of time. I finally used this Giovanni Ultra-Sleek Touch-Up hair towelette. While the keratin and argan oil left my hair soft and shiny (and smelled amazing), I actually had to spray some dry shampoo on top of this because it made my hair look greasy. Would I buy this? I think this would be a great night time hair mask, but I wouldn’t use this as a touch up product during the daytime.

Next up is my Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner. This smells like coconuts and left my hair super soft, but I honestly don’t think it’s any better than their normal Moist conditioner. Would I repurchase this? I’ll probably just buy their normal conditioner next time.

Fragrance

I’m so proud to say that I actually finished up a couple of lotions! First up I have this Mary Kay lotion, and this scent reminds me so much of Christmas! Would I repurchase? I like the Bath & Body Works lotion formula a lot better, so no I probably wouldnt.

Speaking of B&BW, I loved this Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte lotion. I got this as a freebie, and I would totally buy the full size next year.

Misc.

We finished our massive bag of cotton balls this month. Would I repurchase? I’m actually preferring cotton rounds to cotton balls lately, so no I won’t buy these again for a while.

This was another one of those samples that I held onto forever and finally used this month! This is called Hiker’s Foot Healer, and it’s basically an extremely thick foot cream. Would I buy the full size? While I loved the peppermint lemon scent and this felt really good on my feet, I don’t really need such an intense moisturizer.

I used up this 100 point perk from Sephora; the Beauty Blender liquid cleanser. I hated this stuff! I didn’t feel like it cleaned my brushes or Beauty Blender any better than my normal brush cleaning routine, and I can’t believe this costs so much money for what it is! Would I buy this? Absolutely not!

Candles

I’m shocked that I finished 3 candles this month!!! The first one was a freebie from Bath & Body Works, and it was this cute mini Purrfect Pumpkin candle. This was your basic cinnamon pumpkin scent, and it lasted me about 4 hours of burning. Would I buy this? I already purchased a full size pumpkin scent from B&BW this year. (Can we take a second to acknowledge the fact that this teeny candle is $4.50 and you can spend like a buck more than that for a huge jar Candle from Walmart?!?! Crazy!!)

I didn’t quite get to finish this candle, but the wick tipped over before I could burn it all the way down. This is the Vanilla candle from Mainstays (Walmart’s brand) and I actually loved this candle! (I even featured it in last month’s favorites). Will I buy this again? I’m planning on picking up 2 or 3 of these the next time I go to Walmart!

Last but not least for this crazy long empties, I have this awesome woodwick candle in the scent “Vanilla Cedarwood”. This smelled exactly like Marshmallow Fireside (my all time fave) from B&BW, but it had the crackle sound of a woodwick. So basically it was the best candle ever. Will I buy this again? I’m planning on grabbing another one of these asap. (I found mine at Smith’s, so check your local Smith’s or Kroger for this brand if you’re interested. I got mine for $6 and it lasted weeks of non-stop burning!)

That’s all for my October empties! I hope you enjoyed! What was your favorite thing you used up during the month of October? Let me know in a comment. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!
