Ipsy Unboxing – June 2017

Welcome back to my monthly ipsy unboxing! I’ve got June’s bag for you here today, and I’m super excited that this is my 12th ipsy unboxing on my blog!! I’ve been doing these posts for an entire year now! I hope you guys have enjoyed this series as much as I’ve enjoyed doing it every month, and thank you so much for liking and commenting every month. You guys are the best! ❤

This month’s theme is Volume Up and the bag is a tan and black color block with a giant pair of red lips on it. I love the polka dots, and I think this would be so much cuter without the lips so I’m a little disappointed that they’re on here.

NYX Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle

The first product this month is from NYX and I got the shade “Pink Cloud”. I’m pretty sure this is a full size, which pretty much covers the whole cost of the bag right there. Unfortunately, this is such a crazy bright pink color that I’m never going to use it, and I’m going to have to pass this on.

Skyn Iceland Glacial Face Wash with White Willow Bark

I got a sample cleanser here, and I’m feeling good about this one. I’m usually pretty fast at using up these little cleanser samples (and this sample is teeny), so I’m sure I’ll have my thoughts in an empties post pretty soon.

City Color Cosmetics Bold Brow Eyebrow Powder “Medium”

I got an eyebrow duo from City Color Cosmetics in the shade medium. I’m really liking the colors, and I think this will match my brows nicely. This was a win for me this month!

Doucce Maxlash Mascara

I love getting mascara samples in subscription boxes, so I was pretty excited to see this little guy in my bag! The full size of this is $22, so this is more in the range of a high-end mascara. I’m really digging the wand and it kind of reminds me of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish “What’s a Budget?”

I got another full size nail polish from Trust Fund Beauty. These retail for $15, so it already makes up for the price of the bag!! I really like their formulas, but I’m not super sold on the color because I do typically stick to reds and pinks on my nails. I’m definitely willing to try it out, but I’m not really pumped about this one.

Overall, this month’s bag was kind of a flop for me unfortunately. I’ll definitely use the mascara and the cleanser, but the brow duo and the nail polish are kind of meh, and I can’t use the NYX lipstick.

What did you get in this month’s ipsy bag? Do we have any of the same products? Let me know in a comment down below! Thank you so so much for stopping by today, and I’ll see you real soon!

May Ipsy Unboxing

Happy May! I’m here to show you what I got in this month’s ipsy bag! If you’re new to my blog and haven’t seen any of these posts from me before, I have almost a full year’s worth of ipsy unboxings that you can go and check out! Without further ado, let’s get into my samples for this month!!

The bag this month is clear with these cute ice cream cones all over it. I actually really like it, and I’m going to get a lot of use out of it this summer. This would be so cute for a pool bag!

Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter “Sin”

I’m always so happy to see a sample from a high end brand like Urban Decay! I think everyone received one of their highlighters this month, and mine is in the shade Sin. This is a super pretty light champagne color highlight, and even though the pan is kind of tiny, I’m going to put this in my ZPalette and I’m sure I’ll get a ton of use out of it.

Jelly Pong Pong Eyeshadow Duo “Electric”

This is a cream eyeshadow duo from the brand Jelly Pong Pong. I like the nice neutral colors, but I’m not the biggest fan of cream shadow, so I don’t know how much use I’m going to get out of this sample.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen

Next up is a pretty decently sized black eyeliner from Pixi. I love that they included another more expensive brand this month, but I am getting kind of sick of getting eyeliner pencils in my ipsy bag. I think I’m going to go onto my beauty profile and request that I don’t get liners anymore because I really love the Kat Von D liner, and I don’t particularly want to try out anything new. I’m also having a hard time using up the liners that I already have in my collection at the moment, so I would like to not get any more for a while. ALSO, this is two months in a row that I’ve gotten a black eyeliner.

Adesse Nail Polish “Surfer Girl”

This nail polish is a super pretty robin’s egg blue color, and I love this shade so much for spring! (Also shout out for including a full size nail polish this month!!) I’ve received a couple of nail polishes from this Adesse brand in past ipsy bags, and from what I can remember, they’re a pretty good formula. I’m super excited to get this on my fingers and toes for the last few weeks of spring!

Caked Makeup Lip Fondant “Low Key”

This is a liquid lipstick from the brand Caked Makeup, and the shade looks like a nude mauve-purple color. On the lips, it’s actually a lot darker than the swatch here. I’ll have to test this guy out a few times before I can give my full thoughts on it.

I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I got in my May 2017 ipsy bag! Do you subscribe to ipsy? Did you get any of the same products as me this month? Let me know in a comment down below! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, and I’ll see you next time!

March Ipsy Unboxing (Best One Yet?!)

I’ve got another ipsy unboxing for you today! I’m super excited about my March ipsy, and I gasped out loud when I saw the sneak peek for some of these products. This might just be the best ipsy bag I’ve gotten in a while! Let’s get into this month’s samples.

The theme of this month is Tres Jolie which is french for “very pretty”. The bag for March is this beautiful dusty rose color. I actually love this months bag, and I love that it’s an XL version of the typical bag when you unfold it (but am I the only one that feels like this should have been the February bag because it’s way more Valentine’s Day looking than the denim one we got?!).

Beau Gachis Tapered Blending Brush

I always get super excited when I get makeup brushes in subscription boxes, and I think this brush will be the perfect size to use for highlighter! It’s super soft and I’m already loving it after only using it once!

Chella Eyebrow Highlighter Pencil “Ivory Lace”

This is probably an item that I won’t end up using myself, but I’m still excited to try it out. I don’t typically like these kind of brow highlight pencils, but I’ll definitely give it a go and see if it helps me get that sharp defined “Instagram brow” look that’s super popular right now.

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Blush “Kitty Pink”

Blush is one of my favorite samples to receive, and this color looks like it’s a super beautiful natural pink color. It’s as if a dusty mauve blush met a pinky coral blush and this blush is the perfect combo of both. This is just slightly different from anything else that I have in my collection, and I’m really loving it!

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint “Rosè”

I was so excited to see a Tarte liquid lipstick in this month’s bag! I haven’t tried this product before, and I loved all three of the colors that this came in this month (nude, rosy pink, and deep red). I was super excited to get the nude, and I’m even more excited to test it out!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer

I absolutely love this moisturizer! This is one of my all time favorites, and I actually still have a travel sized tube of this from a 2015 ipsy bag that I haven’t entirely used up yet. I’m super excited to have a new one of these!

I hope you enjoyed seeing everything I got in my March ipsy!! I loved this months bag, and I’m so excited to use everything!! Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

The Best of Birchbox

Today I’m going to be talking about my favorite products I ever received from Birchbox. I did this same post for ipsy, so if you haven’t seen my Best of Ipsy post, go check it out! I was subscribed to Birchbox from January 2016 to September 2016, which means I got 45 different samples from them over 9 months. Let’s talk about all of my favorites.

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle Spray – January 2016 box

I loved this leave-in conditioner spray so much that I actually ended up purchasing the full size from the Birchbox store. I still use this product every time I get out of the shower, and I absolutely love the smell of it.

Whish Body Butter in Almond – January 2016 box

I absolutely adore the scent of the Almond Body Butter from Whish. The formula of their hand cream is super silky and creamy as well, and this is one of my favorite lotions I’ve ever received in a subscription box.

Corioliss Argan Conditioning Mask – February 2016 box

This product was my introduction to the deep conditioning world, and I haven’t stopped purchasing deep conditioners since. I absolutely loved everything about this hair mask, from the scent to how soft it left my hair feeling. I actually almost splurged the $40 that the full size costs because I loved what it did for my hair so much.

BORGHESE Fango Purificante Clay Cleanser – February 2016 box

This is still to this day my favorite cleanser sample that I’ve ever received in a subscription box. I was pretty sad when this sample ran out. I loved the scent, the consistency, and how clean it left my skin feeling (It also looked like magical sparkling unicorn spit, so there’s that too).

ModelCO Lip Lacquer “Creme Brulee” – May 2016 box

I absolutely HATE lip gloss. However, this ModelCo formula is absolutely amazing. I can’t stand the sticky feeling of typical lip glosses, but this one doesn’t feel sticky or slimy on my lips at all. I love the natural color of this gloss, and it blends right into the color of my lips while making it look like I just licked them for an hour. If I ever decide to purchase a lip gloss in the future, it’ll 110% be this one.

Benefit Gimme Brow – June 2016 box

Birchbox sent out a super mini sample of the Benefit Gimme Brow in June. I’ve purchased the Gimme Brow before when it was still the old formula, and I was super excited to try out the new formula when it launched. This was such an exciting sample to receive (especially because it’s a more expensive and well-known product)!

SKINFOOD Black Sugar Mask Wash Off – August 2016 box

This face scrub is my absolute favorite exfoliant that I’ve ever tried. I’m definitely planning on purchasing this full size. (If you want to see my full thoughts, check out my September Empties post).

Stila Matte About You Liquid Lipstick – August 2016 box

I absolutely love the Stilla Liquid Lipstick formula, and I was shocked to see such a high-end sample in Birchbox. The color is such a beautiful “just barely too dark to be nude” shade, and I love the way this wears on my lips. I’m totally going to buy the full size of this when my sample is gone, and I might even buy some other colors (hello go-to formula for a nice long lasting red lip).

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil – August 2016 box

I love pretty much everything from the Beauty Protector line (mostly because it all smells absolutely amazing), and I love using oil on the ends of my hair right when I get out of the shower. This is an awesome oil (and again, the smell is seriously like heaven).

I hope you enjoyed hearing all about my favorite products from Birchbox! What are some of your favorite products you’ve received in subscription boxes? Let me know in a comment down below! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
