My Top 5 Blushes

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my Top 5 series!! Today we’re talking about my favorite makeup item to buy: blushes!! I own more blush than any other beauty product, and I’m super picky about colors and formulas. I have super pale skin so none of these are crazy bright colors, but they’re all super gorgeous natural colors for the every day girl! Let’s get into all of the beautiful blushes!!

5. Physicians Formula Butter Blush “Plum Rose”

This is a more recent buy for me, and I’ve been loving this blush (mostly for the incredible coconut scent let’s be honest). This is super buttery and creamy, and I love the color. I’m planning on doing a whole review post of this soon, so be sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss it!
4. ColourPop “Between the Sheets”

This is one of the products that I’m trying to use up in 2017 so I’ve gotten a ton of use out of this blush so I can honestly say that this is an awesome product. This is more of a cream formula (which is why this is number 4 and not number 1 because I don’t love cream products). I like to put this on right after foundation and then powder my face to sheer out the color a little bit. This really does stay on all day and I’ll totally be buying another ColourPop blush when this one is done.
3. DLS “Kitty Pink”

I got this blush in an ipsy bag, and I freaking love it! It is so crazy pigmented and gives such a nice peachy glow to my cheeks. I’d never heard of the Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics brand before I got this sample, but I would love to check them out and repurchase because I love the color of this product.
2. Too Faced “Baby Love”

If you’ve seen my Too Faced “Baby Love” vs. Tarte “Exposed” – Blush Review  then you’ll know that I love this blush to death! This gives such a natural flush to the cheeks with the slightest bit of glow. I love how creamy the powder is, and this is truly one of the best blushes at Sephora!
1. Tarte “Exposed”

My number one favorite blush of all time is Tarte’s Exposed!! This is a much drier formula, but the color is just so flattering and stunning on my skintone. I’ll repurchase this blush over and over for the rest of my life because it is seriously the perfect color for me (and for a TON of other people because this is such a huge best seller and is super flattering on so many skintones).

Physicians Formula Butter Blush Review! Is It Worth The Hype?!

I just recently picked up the Physicians Formula Butter Blush in the shade Plum Rose, and I really want to do a whole review post talking about whether or not I think it’s worth all of the hype that it’s been getting!

I looked all over for a good deal on this blush, so I’m going to share the prices that I found. Ulta had this listed for $12.99, Target had it priced at $12.95, Walgreens had it for $12.95, and Walmart had it for $10.63. If you’re planning on getting multiple shades, wait for Ulta to have a buy one get one half off or a buy two get one free sale. If you want to pick up just one shade, DEFINITELY go to Walmart for this blush!!

If you haven’t heard from all of the hype surrounding the MuruMuru Butter line from Physicians Formula (they started out with the bronzers and just recently added the blushes), the ENTIRE line smells like coconut and sunscreen and summer vacation! This seriously fills the whole bathroom with such an amazing smell every time I open it to put it on in the morning.

This blush swatches so buttery, and the powder itself is so smooth and creamy! It’s also really pigmented, especially considering it’s such a subtle natural shade. I know there was a lot of reviews saying that you have to be super fair skinned in order for these blushes to show up on you, and I would have to agree with that. I’m super pale, so this blush is gorgeous on me and I love that it’s not too bright and pigmented on my pale skin (like a lot of blushes tend to be… It’s such a struggle to always have to use a light hand and be super careful not to put too much blush on).

Overall, I love this blush and I’m dying to get my hands on a couple more shades. I wouldn’t say that this is my all time favorite blush line, but this is hands down the best formula at the drugstore! I highly recommend trying these blushes out.

Benefit “Coralista” vs. Milani “Luminoso” – Blush Review

Today I’m going to do a quick comparison on Benefit’s Coaralista blush and Milani Luminoso blush. It’s been said for years and years that Milani Luminoso is a dupe for Benefit Coralista, and since I recently bought Coralista, I didn’t feel the need to keep Luminoso anymore, so I thought I’d do a quick comparison for you all before I declutter it from my collection.

To make a long post short, yes I would say that Milani’s Luminoso is a dupe for Benefit’s Coralista because it does actually looks exactly the same on the skin. It’s right on par with Coralista pigmentation wise, but because Coralista is high-end, the blush is higher quality and lasts longer on your skin throughout the day.

I personally prefer Coralista because of its fruity scent, and the fact that it lasts a lot longer on my cheeks. If you’re on a budget or are just starting to dip your toes into coral blush, Luminoso really does look exactly like Coralista, so I would definitely start there.

I hope you enjoyed hearing my quick review today!! If you want to see another blush comparison, I recently did a Too Faced “Baby Love” vs. Tarte “Exposed” – Blush Review  that you can go check out by clicking the link. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Too Faced “Baby Love” vs. Tarte “Exposed” – Blush Review

Today I want to talk to you about two of the most popular blushes in the makeup community; Tarte’s “Exposed” and Too Faced’s “Baby Love”. At first glance they seem to be almost identical colors (they’re actually so similar that I almost didn’t buy Baby Love because I already had Exposed). After using both and falling in love with both, I’m going to let you know the similarities and differences as well as which one I prefer. Let’s get into it!

As you can see, the two colors are very similar, especially from far away. (I personally prefer Too Faced’s packaging to Tarte’s. The pink Polly-Pocket looking heart is so stinkin’ cute!)

When you look closely, you can tell that Exposed is completely matte while Baby Love has a slight shimmer to it (you can also see I’ve made a massive dent in Exposed, whereas I’ve only had Baby Love for a couple of weeks).

One of my favorite things about this line of Too Faced blushes is the magnetic closure instead of the typical clasp-style closure.

I love this mauve-rose shade, and almost every blush I own is a variation of this color. I think it’s so natural and flattering (especially on my pasty white skin).

I find that my brush is able to pick up more pigment easier with Baby Love than with Exposed (which means I only have to dip into the product one time instead of swirling my brush around several times, saving me time in the morning). You can see just by looking at the close up of the two that Too Faced appears to have a softer powder.
Let’s see some swatches!

By looking at the finger swatches, Baby Love looks to be much lighter and pinker than Exposed.

Yet when I swatch them on my arm, the opposite is true. Exposed looks much more pink and Baby Love seems to be darker.

Either way, whichever one you go for, you’re going to get a very similar look on your cheeks. For me, it all comes down to packaging and formula.
So which one do I like more? I personally like Tarte more as a brand overall, so I would purchase Exposed before I bought Baby Live again, but it all comes down to personal preference!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my side-by-side comparison of these two beautiful blushes! Let me know in a comment which blush you prefer out of these two.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time!
