Finish 7 By Summer Project Pan FINALE

We’ve come to the end of my Finish 7 By Summer project, and I’m super excited to show you my progress with everything! I ended up hitting my goal on every single item this time around, and I would say that this might easily be my most successful project pan to date!

Covergirl Outlast 3-in-1 Foundation

This is one of my all time favorite foundations, and you all know that I talk about this all the time on my blog, so I’m not going to go into it here.

Lasting Smiles Peppermint Lip Balm

I finished this lip balm in April, and I really did enjoy it. I would totally repurchase this product because it moisturizer well, smelled and tasted good, and is vegan.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder

I used up yet another one of my Maybelline Fit Me powders. This is my all time favorite, and I’ve already repurchased it and am using a new one.

Skyn Iceland Eye Cream

I finished this eye cream up really quickly, and I’m glad to have it gone. This really didn’t do anything for me, and I didn’t notice any added benefits from using this.

Makeup Forever N9 Lipstick

I got so, so close to finishing up this lipstick! This is just a tiny little nub now!! Since this is one of my Products to Use Up In 2017 products, I’m going to push through and finish up the last tiny bit of this. Although this is the one item that I didn’t quite reach my goal on, I’m so proud of the progress I made!

ColourPop Super Shock Blush “Between the Sheets”

This is another product that I made so much progress on!! I’ve used this almost every single day for the entirety of this challenge, and this has such a huge dip in it now! I was super skeptical about including this in my year long challenge, but I’m very confident that this will be gone by the end of the year!! I love this blush to death and I’m definitely planning on buying another one to use throughout 2018. I’m so proud that I not only hit pan and reached my goal for this challenge, but almost used up the whole blush in the short time I’ve been panning it!

Garnier Clearly Brighter Moisturizer

I finished up this project toward the end of May and I’m so glad I was able to get it done before the end of the challenge, even if it was a close call!

So there is all of my progress from this project! This seriously went by so fast, and I’m so happy to say that I reached my goal on 6 of 7 products, and the last item is down to just a teeny tiny little nub! This has been so successful that I’m planning on starting up another project right away, and it’s twice the size of this one!! Get ready for some more project panning posts in the very near future. 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I’ll see you very soon with more blog posts!

Tarte’s Tartelette Toasted Palette Reveal + My First Impressions!

If you don’t follow Tarte on Instagram then you probably missed their sneak peek of the new Tartelette Toasted palette that’s launching this fall!! I screamed out loud when I saw the video on their Insta story, and I’m so excited for this palette to launch and to see some swatches!! I took a super quick screenshot of the palette, but it was kind of hard to get a clear view since it was a boomerang of them opening the palette. Here’s the shots I got:

Let’s go through the shades left to right starting with the top row!

The top left hand corner shade looks like a nice all over base shadow in a bone color. Every palette needs one of these, so I’m glad to see that they’ve included one. The next shade over looks like more of a Champagne color, and I can’t quite tell if this is a shimmer or a matte. The video flashes so quickly! I can’t wait to see some swatches closer to launch time! The next shade over is a nice shimmery golden brown color, and the shade in the top right hand corner looks like a dark brown with gold glitter chunks (not too thrilled about this one honestly. I hate dark glitter shades!).

The middle row on the left has a nice warm peachy brown and a reddish warm brown color next to that, both matte. The next shade is very clearly named Flame (one of the only names I can make out clearly) and it’s a warm brown/mauve shimmery color! Next to that looks like it’s called Cozy and it’s about the same shade as Flame but matte. These might be my favorite shades of the palette, and they bring the whole thing to a super warm vibe!

The bottom row starts on the left with a shimmery light color, and this is going to be so pretty for the lid and inner corner! Next to that is a matte cooler toned brown, perfect for a crease shade! Next up is the shade Simmer which is a dark shimmery gold color, and finally we have Fireside which is a dark matte smoky brown color.

All in all, I think this is an absolutely gorgeous palette, and the Tartelette in Bloom palette is my all time favorite so I will definitely be picking this up this fall!

What do you think of the new palette? Are you going to be picking it up?! Let me know your thoughts in a comment down below! Thanks so much for stopping by, lovelies!

HAUL – ELF, L’Oréal + MORE!

I’ve got a quick haul today of some goodies that I recently picked up! I hit an awesome sale at Walgreens (buy one get one 50% on L’Oréal plus $7 worth of coupons on eye and face products as well as a couple of items marked down on clearance!) and I placed an order on ELF’s website (my first order from their website actually!) and I also have a couple of random things I picked up from Target. I’m super excited about all of these new goodies, so let’s go ahead and jump into what I got!

L’Oréal Butterfly Sculpt Mascara

This mascara is so unique, but it really does build up so much volume and length! The Want only has bristles on one side so you can really comb through your lashes with this.

L’Oréal Magic BB Cream

This used to be my holy grail BB Cream, so I thought I would pick it up again for spring and summer and give it another go.

L’Oréal Lumi Highlighter “Ice”

I picked up this highlight because it was marked down from $12.99 to $6.49 and I also had a $2 off coupon (so I totally got this $13 highlight for $4.50!!!). This is such a beautiful color and it looks awesome on my pale skin!

L’Oréal Infalliable Shadow “Amber Rush”

This single shadow has been on my wishlist for a long time, and it’s absolutely STUNNING! I got this half off and had a $2 coupon, so it went from $8.99 down to $2.49!! I absolutely LOVE this shade, and this is going to be a go-to for me.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

Confession time: I’ve become super lazy about taking my makeup off. Most nights, I would rather sleep in my makeup than get up and hunt down my makeup remover cloth, get it wet, and scrub my makeup off. I decided that I wanted to get a pack of makeup wipes for nights that I just don’t want to bother (most nights let’s be real) so I could keep them at my bedside table and grab them before falling asleep (no more excuses if they’re sitting right there).  I picked up some of these Simple wipes because I remember really liking them and long story short, I’m so glad I decided to get a pack of these because they’re awesome! I’ve been loving how easily these take off my makeup and they make my skin feel so clean and wonderful.

Wet n Wild Shadow “Brûlée”

I picked up yet another one of Wet n Wild’s single shadows in the shade Brule. This is a perfect skin color for me, and I love to use this to set my eyeshadow primer every single day so that the other shadows blend easier (it only makes sense that powder eyeshadow would blend better when put on top of powder rather than laid onto the sticky primer directly). This is such a buttery shadow and I’ve purchased it probably 3 or 4 different times over the years.

ELF Lip Exfoliator “Coconut”

I picked up the ELF Lip exfoliator because I’ve heard so many good things about it over the years and I really wanted to try it out! I love how convenient it is in the lipstick tube so that you don’t have to reach into a little pot and dig out the product with your fingers.

ELF Selfie Ready Foundation Blurring Brush

My favorite ELF foundation brush is starting to get really ratty looking, so I figured I would pick up a new one and I decided to try out one from the Selfie Ready line.

ELF Eyebrow Duo Brush

I’ve been wanting the Anastasia dual ended eyebrow brush, so when I saw that ELF had a dupe for it, I immediately went online and ordered it.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my quick little haul today! Stay tuned for upcoming favorites posts to hear more about some of these items. Let me know if there’s anything in particular that you want to see a full review post on! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

Why I Declutter My Makeup Collection (and why you should too)

I wanted to share a quick post on something that I’m really passionate about: decluttering. Since the beginning of 2016 I’ve been decluttering and downsizing my makeup collection, my clothes, haircare, skincare, etc. (Most of my decluttering content lives over on my second blog Home, Budget, Blog, but I actually have a whole makeup decluttering series on this blog and you should definitely go check them out (part 1, part 2, part 3) to see some of the things I’ve gotten rid of over the last 6 months or so). The more I declutter, the more simplified and de-stressed I feel. Cleaning, getting ready, and organizing gets easier and easier. Let’s get into some of the benefits of decluttering your makeup collection.

1. Makeup expires

If you needed an obvious reason why decluttering is necessary, allow me to give you one. Makeup expires. At some point, you’ve got to throw away old and expired makeup to avoid eye infections and cold sores.

2. Things pile up

I tend to reach for what’s right on top when it comes to makeup. I have a really hard time remembering what I actually own if it’s piled under a bunch of other makeup products. It’s so much easier to use products and branch out your routine when you can see everything that you own.

3. Keep what brings you joy

The KonMari method of decluttering is all about keeping what brings you joy. If you buy a lipstick and find that you hate the way the color looks on you or the formula drives you crazy, every single time you look at your lipstick collection, you’re going to have that negative feeling when you see the shade you don’t like sitting there with all of your other lipsticks. Imagine what it would be like to look at your makeup collection and love every single item you see. Keeping only the products that you love and that bring you joy will make doing your makeup that much more enjoyable.

4. Staying away from consumerism

I’ve done a couple of Products I’m Not Going to Buy posts (part 1part 2) on my blog talking about makeup items that are super hyped that I’m not going to spend my money on. I think that makeup is a dangerous area to fall into the trap of constantly needing to buy new things because brands are always coming out with flashy new items and collections. You can easily be sucked into buying every single new thing on the market (not to mention the fact that makeup is super expensive!). Even if you don’t want to get into the whole “save the planet and limit waste” debate, we can all agree that consumerism isn’t good for your wallet.

5. Getting your money’s worth

Everyone knows that it takes forever to use up makeup. An eyeshadow palette or a powder blush will last you years and years if you own more than one. Makeup also has a relatively short shelf life, and things typically expire within 3-24 months depending on the product and formula. Because of these two combined factors, it’s really hard to use makeup up quickly enough to actually get your money’s worth out of the products. When you have less items, you’re more easily able to use things up.

I hope that I gave you at least one reason to go through your makeup collection and get rid of a few things. Let me know in a comment down below if you would be interested to see a full post about how to declutter your makeup collection and some things to look at and think about when going through your makeup and I would love to go ahead and make that post for you all! If you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to go and check out my Makeup That I’m Getting Rid Of part onepart two, and part three posts to see some decluttering! Thank you so, so much for stopping by my blog, and I’ll talk to you really soon!!

Summer 2017 Wishlist – ColourPop, Ulta, Sephora + MORE

I'm back today with another wishlist post! I took a bunch of screenshots from Sephora, Ulta, ColourPop, and Target to show you some of the things that I'm dying to get my hands on this season. If you missed my spring 2017 wishlist and the wishlist update posts, be sure you go check them out to see what products I've had my eye on in the past and what I picked up last season. I've got a pretty long wishlist this time around, so let's go ahead and get right into the products!

ColourPop Lippie Stix (Contempo, Oh Snap, Lumière, Brink, Cami)

I picked out some ColourPop Lippie Stix shades that I'm dying to get my hands on now that I know which formulas I like and dislike from ColourPop. These are all the Matte formula except for Cami which is the Matte X formula, so I'm super excited to try out some new matte lippies for summer, and I'm even planning on getting a couple of darker colors to play around with heading into fall.

ColourPop Aquarius Bundle

This is a bundle that KathleenLights collaborated with ColourPop to create. They took the Lippie Stix shade in Aquarius and turned it into three different liquid formulas: matte, satin, and gloss. As you know, Aquarius is my favorite shade from ColourPop and since I hated the creme formula of the Lippie Stix, I figured this liquid lip trio would be PERFECT for me. This bundle is the whole reason that I want to place another ColourPop order, so I'll definitely be picking this up this season. Stay tuned for my update post at the end of the season to see my thoughts on these liquid lippies!

Loreal Super Shock Shadows "Iced Latte" and "Amber Rush"

I've been wanting to try out these Loreal single shadows for YEARS (pretty much ever since they were hyped up on YouTube) but they recently reached the top of my wishlist when one of my favorite YouTubers (if not my all time favorite) Jessica Braun posted a declutter video and showed the shade Amber Rush. Seeing it swatched and hearing her talk about it again made me want to run out and buy these shadows!

Milani Eyeshadow Primer

I've heard for years that this is the best drugstore eyeshadow primer, and I'm finally going to go out and get it. I haven't really been loving my Too Faced Shadow Insurance very much, so I figured I might as well try out something new when I finish it up instead of running straight back to my Urban Decay Primer Potion (which I have a review post on if you're interested in hearing why I love it so much).

NYX Tinted Brow Gel "Blonde"

I'm planning on doing a whole review and comparison post of my Essence Make Me Brow that I picked up in my last wishlist post for spring, but I will say that I want to pick up another drugstore tinted gel before I bite the bullet and repurchase the Benefit Gimme Brow. I've heard that this one is very comparable, so I thought I'd throw it on the wishlist.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter "Radiant Lights"  OR Essence Pure Nude Highlighter "Be My Highlight 01"

I want to pick up a new drugstore highlighter and I'm trying to decide between Makeup Revolution's Vivid Baked Highlight or Essence's Pure Nude Highlight. I've heard amazing reviews of both highlighters, so it really just comes down to which one will match my fair skintone better, but I need to see them in person to decide between the two.

Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Blusher "Peachy Keen Heart"

I want to pick up this blush so badly, but it's an online only product and I don't really love having to place a $50 order to get free shipping from Ulta's website, so I might not pick up this product anytime soon, but I love the color and it has really good reviews online.

Prada Candy Perfume

This is something that I probably won't get until my anniversary or Christmas, but I absolutely love this perfume and I've already used up 2 samples of it! This is high on my wish list.

Milk Makeup Eye Pigment "Hotel Lobby"

I'm dying to get my hands on one of these Milk Makeup Eye Pigments that they just came out with! These are a cream/liquid shadow that is super metallic and glittery.

Kay Von D Tattoo Liner

I still really want to get a full size of the KVD liner, but my sample is still going strong so this is still living on my wishlist for now.

Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer

I really want to stop into Sephora and get myself a sample of the new Tarte mattifying primer! I have super oily skin and I'm not currently using a primer, so I would love to see how this one performs.

IGK Prenup Instant Spray Hair Mask

I recently saw one of my favorite youtubers (Kathleen Lights) mention this product and they said that their hair has never felt so soft before. This has incredible reviews on the Sephora website, and I don't usually buy expensive hair products, but I really really want to try this.

I hope you enjoyed seeing everything that's on my summer wishlist! Don't forget to stick around until the end of summer when I'll be posting an update telling you what I've gone ahead and purchased. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, and I'll see you next time!

My Top 5 Eyeliners – Top 5 Series

Hello lovelies! I’m back today with another edition of my top 5 series and today we’re going to be discussing my top 5 eyeliners! Most of these are liquid liners, and all of these are black liners because that’s what I personally like on my eyes, so if you’re looking for some fun colors, this isn’t the post for you (I wish I was that adventurous, but I typically stick to neutrals. Boring, I know). Let’s get into my personal best liners!

5. Coastal Scents Xpress Line Eyeliner

I’m not typically a pencil liner kind of girl, but I really did like the Coastal Scents Xpress Line eyeliner pencil. This was very black and had awesome staying power throughout the day, and I would actually pick this one up again.

4. Almay Liquid Eyeliner

This used to be my holy grail liquid liner, and I still think it’s one of the best ones out there! This has a typical felt tip applicator, but the liner is in a brush and pot form instead of the typical marker packaging that most liquid liners come in. This liner is very black and pigmented, and the little brush is very easy to control!

3. Ciatè London Feirce Flicks Liner

This is my current liquid liner and I’ve been really enjoying it! It has a little bit bigger of a brush tip than I’m used to using, but I think it’s great to make a quick thick line on my way out the door in the morning, and I like that the formula doesn’t smudge during the day.

2. Maybelline Master Precise Liner

This is my favorite drugstore liner, and for good reason. This is pretty similar to the Kat Von D Tattoo liner in the sense that it has a super thin brush tip and goes on very black. If you’re on a budget, this is definitely the liner you should start with from the drugstore!

1. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

And finally we have my number one favorite liner! This is the Kat Von D Tattoo liner, and everyone and their mother loves this (because it’s the best). This has the thinnest little tip I’ve ever seen and is super black! This is called the Tattoo liner because it doesn’t smudge and is super long lasting on the eyes, and I do find that to be true. This is the only liner that I’m able to pull of a winged eyeliner with, and I think that says a lot about it. Although this product is kind of a splurge, I would totally get the full size of this.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Let me know in a comment down below what you’re all time favorite eyeliner is, and I’ll see you next time!

Products that are Worth the Hype

Hello lovelies, welcome back to my blog! I’m so excited to be sharing some popular makeup products that I’ve found to be worth the hype that they get. If you like this post, be sure to tell me in a comment down below and I can keep making these types of posts. Without further ado, let’s get into my favorite hyped up products.

Anastasia DipBrow Pomade

If you’ve been here for any amount of time, you’ll know how much I love this brow product. This makes my brows stay in place all day and gives them such a bold look. Everyone I’ve talked to who’s used this absolutely loves it. And one jar lasts me over a full year, so it’ a win win.

Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette

I finally gave in and got this palette when I had a Dillards gift card over the holidays, and I’m not sorry that I did. Surprisingly, I’ve actually used (and generally liked) every single shade in the palette (yes, even the reds and oranges) but that isn’t what impressed me. The quality of these shadows are the most amazing quality that I have ever tried. Hands down. This is better than any Chocolate Bar or Naked palette. The shadows feel like butter or silk and they are so ridiculously pigmented. This palette is worth every single penny.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

I got a sample of the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the shade Trooper for a Sephora 100 point perk, and I’ve been truly obsessed with it ever since. I have never been able to do winged eyeliner until I got this liner. I might even break my own rule of not buying high end eyeliners for this product because I love it so much.

ColourPop Cosmetics

I have found that ColourPop in general has amazing products that are totally worth the hype that everyone has been giving them. Their lip products are truly some of the best I’ve ever tried, and I love their eyeshadow and blush formula as well. If you haven’t tried anything from ColourPop, you really need to!

Stila Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Patina”

Stila’s Patina is one of the most incredible liquid lipstick I’ve ever tried! Not only is the color beautiful (and very universally flattering) but the formula is amazing! This doesn’t dry out my lips, crumble, flake, cake up, or smear. When you put it on, it sets and stays (and it doesn’t sink into the lines on my lips like a lot of other liquid lipsticks tend to do).

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit in the shade “Rebel Rose”

Everyone has been talking about these Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit lipsticks, and I finally got my hands on one and understand why. These are the most incredible liquid lipstick formula I’ve ever tried! I love how long these wear on the lips and I love that they don’t look crumbly or dry.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about some products that I have tried and thought they were worth the hype. It’s always one of the best feelings when you jump on the product bandwagon and realize why everyone says it’s so good. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, and I’ll see you next time!
